Urdu and English are the official languages of Pakistan.
There are over 30 ethnicities in Pakistan, with the majority of Pakistan being ethnically Punjabi (44.7%), Pukhthun (15%), and Sindhi (14%).
Other ethnicities in Pakistan include: Balochi, Kashmiri, Pahari, Hindko, Hazara, Seraiki, Shina, Potohari, Wakhi, Khowar, Brahui, Kohistani, Pamiri, Burushaski, Balti, Bengali, Sheedi, Kalash, Uyghurs (mostly live near the Pakistan-China border), Tajik Urdu speaking community (a collective term for descendants of Indian muslims mostly from Uttar Pradesh , Deccan and Bihar ), Gujuratis, Kutchi, Memons, Marathis, Burmese, Rohingyas ( 0.4 million migrants ), Marwaris, Haryanwis, Rangars, Rajisthanis, Mappilas from Kerala and Mysore, there is a small Tamil population, and there are 250,000 Siddi people in Pakistan.
Most of Pakistan is Muslim, this is mainly because of 1947 Partition, when the British split British India into India and a new country Pakistan.
